I attended King George hospital on Monday 20/4/20 while waiting for my blood test to be done, Dr Chandu Wickramarachchi came to see me ,he explained to me exactly what was going to be done. He reassured me that i would be given pain relief prior to the rest of my tests .He treated me with the upmost respect and calmed me down. He is truly a great doctor and very caring

I attended Queens A & E department Easter Sunday where Dr Chandu Wickramarachchi saw me. I went in for dyhadration after showing alot of care and asking lots of questions he sent me to the corona area where it turned out I had a chest infection. I can honestly say I have never experienced the after care Dr Chandu gave when I left the hospital he apologise for seeing before I was discharged because he was attending to a sick person he also sent the rest results and fully explained them I generally felt he cares about me as a person and my well being. It is a difficult time for all NHS staff and he is a credit to them

I only met Chandu briefly whilst detained in Queen’s hospital during the covid-19 outbreak. However, he took the time to follow up my stay with text messages and sent my test results when requested. He is also following up a clinical visit for the dizziness I have been experiencing. Very impressed with his care.

Dr Chandu was exceptional not only in his caring for my husband in A& E on Easter Sunday but also in taking time out of his no doubt stressful shift to answer my questions truthfully and with compassion. He put my mind at rest and made me feel that my husband was in the best of hands. I believe that Queen's hospital is very lucky to have such a caring professional in their employ. I wish him well in his career and cannot thank him enough.
