Dr. Shekhar recently treated my daughter at University Hospital, Coventry. I was with her throughout her two week stay as an inpatient and we could not have received better care. Dr. Shekhar is extremely kind and gives you the time you need. He explains everything thoroughly, listens to your concerns and does his best to reassure and calm you. My daughter was quite scared of the procedure she needed to have done following a bad experience with the same procedure at a different hospital. Dr. Shekhar and his team ensured she was comfortable throughout and she has said she would not be scared of having the procedure again. Cannot recommend Dr. Shekhar and his team highly enough.

When two or more doctors are treating a patient, i do feel that better communication between the doctors concerned would be advantageous to the patient. Whilst i fully appreciate that with things like work load etc, this is not always possible, but whenever it is, this would alleviate the patient having to repeat whats been said or arranged by the other doctors during their visits.

Dr Shekhar has been instrumental in the diagnosis and treatment of my ulcerative colitis. Having been admitted in hospital over 5 years ago where I was diagnose and treated by his expertise, he has made the huge effort in regularly checking my well being by arranging regular appointments, reviewing my medication and offering the best professional advice for treatment. Five years later, he is still regularly making appointments to check my bloods, medication and adjusting to ensure that I am least effected by my illness. Dr Shekhar will go out of his way to ensure that the NHS will do its utmost to put the patients well being first. Thank you to the team and the NHS.
