Awful, awful, awful!! We were very unfortunate to be referred to Dr. Bale who we found to be both ignorant and patronizing. Also, we felt that Dr Bale demonstrated no real care whatsoever towards the patient concerned. In fact, following each appointment, we felt almost insulted by her attitude and comments. In all fairness we were up against the worst i.e. 'cancer spread to other areas' however, as a family, we spent 12 months exploring alternative private treatments but, on every occasion, Dr Bale offered nothing but a lack of support and criticism. If only they had pulled together, we could have had a different result. Instead, the patient was removed from chemo (which wasn't necessary) and basically told to go home and await for the inevitable. There are many pioneering oncologists out there but Cath Bale isn't one of them. If you get referred to her, get away as soon as possible and go to the Christie clinic where you will stand half a chance.
