Dr Carolyn put me to total ease regarding my operation. She explained everything clearly and even suggested we chatted while the operation took place, She has a wonderful relaxing manner, even telling me I have lovely nerves - a topic I have shared with many people telling them it is my only claim to fame.

Dr Carolyn Johnston administered anesthetic before I had a ventouse / forceps delivery. Her manner was exceptionally kind, caring and reassuring. I was really upset - 2 nights of no sleep, 34 hour in labour then a scary dash to the operating theatre. She talked me through everything that was was happening and kept checking that I was ok. Even at the time I noticed this and hugely appreciated it.

Dr Johnston administered my epidural and i felt very reassured in her hands of the procedure and both the risks and benefits. She was very calming and didn't make me feel anxious at all especially as i was nervous about it. I hope every woman has as good as an experience as i had with her.

When I had to have an emergency c section Dr Johnston was so reassuring and calming throughout the whole process. She explained everything to me so I understood what was happening to me and was personable, kind and even had a little bit of humour throughout. She included my partner in the explanation of things and stayed with us taking through the procedure as well as the anesthetic so we felt confident.
