excellent explanation of my concerns to do with my medication and all that was carried out on me when I had my heart attack. Almost a year down the line and again explained everything so I understood

Profile

Dr Bhavik Modi is a Consultant Cardiologist and specialises in all aspects of general and interventional cardiology. He regularly optimises his angioplasty/PCI outcomes with physiology (FFR) and intracoronary imaging (IVUS & OCT). He is experienced in contemporary angioplasty (including shockwave, rotablation and CTO techniques).

Dr Modi went to medical school in Cambridge (Gonville & Caius College) and UCL. Following graduating with honours, he did his junior doctor training at UCLH, Royal Brompton, Harefield and Hammersmith hospitals, during the which time, he gained his MRCP(UK) qualification. Dr Modi then went on to train in cardiology at the Royal London, London Chest and Royal Free Hospitals. Following this, Dr Modi did an award-winning PhD in coronary physiology at St Thomas’ Hospital, gaining significant experience in running clinical trials. Following his PhD, he did 3 years of further interventional cardiology training, including a post CCT fellowship, at Barts Heart Centre.

Dr Modi is currently a consultant general and interventional cardiologist at the nationally renowned Glenfield Hospital in Leicestershire. He has set up a heart attack discharge pathway and continues to be highly active in research, teaching of junior doctors and is often invited as a speaker at national meetings.
