Dr Vyawahare really listened and seemed to genuinely care about my situation. As soon as I walked in she noticed I hadn’t slept for several nights and mentioned this, many wouldn’t! She listened, didn’t rush or undermine anything I said and talked to me in depth about possible causes/treatment options. They can’t wave a magic wand but really do seem to want to help. I can’t recommend enough, I haven’t had any treatment there yet and it seems there is quite a waiting list but first impressions are excellent. A doctor who is not dismissing and wants to help if she can. All the staff were helpful.

I saw Dr Vyawahare yesterday (1st April) at Wythenshaw. I was not looking forward to the appointment because I have already completed a pain management course overseas. However I was referred by the surgical team because they wanted to make sure I would have the best chance to cope with post operative pain following a mesh removal surgery. I was sure I was going to have to jump through hoops and have my operation further delayed. I’m happy to report that I was wrong. The team that met me were amazing. They asked lots of questions and believed me about the pain and all the complications. I have been really impressed with every doctor and nurse that I have seen during this process and even though this was my first time meeting the doctor she put me completely at ease immediately and she listened, really listened. I would have no hesitation in recommending her. Thank you NHS for getting it right ( and to all NHS staff of course who work so hard )

I was treated today for pudendal nerve neuralgia by Dr.BharatiVyawahare. This was my second pudendal nerve block. My first was last Jan 2020 initially I had a great response to it after about 5/6 weeks but due to COVID and change in work environment I had a flare but this was because of a much heavier work load . Once I reverted back to my usual work environment although the neuralgia is still there it is substantially improved compared to when the problem started . The procedure isn’t unpleasant and this is helped I feel by the calm atmosphere the unit has , the clear instructions given by all members of staff starting as you walk into reception and this has been the case each time I have been for all my other appts over the past four years . I would highly recommend the team and as far as it relates to me I feel the pudendal nerve block has been a success so here’s hoping the second one is even more effective . Thankyou to everyone .

I suffer from debilitating pain. I was scheduled to have nerve block injections at Wythenshawe but my treatment was postponed because of the Covid pandemic. Staff kept me updated during this time. I’ve just had my first injection and although the effect won’t kick in for a few days yet, the experience was reassuring. The staff are professional and helpful. I had already met Dr Vyawahare when she took a full medical history and sent a detailed report both to me and my GP. So I knew in advance that she had a very clear understanding of my problem. I feel confident that I’m getting good treatment. I’m glad that Wythenshawe can offer this specialist resource. Dr Vyawahare and her staff are an essential service which give patients hope that their condition will improve. My thanks to Dr Vyawahare and all at the clinic.
