I won't say who I am - but Dr Whitelaw will know. My local Dr's in Kent are BLOODY USELESS. I had to get my own tests done privately as they refused to do them as they said that I was talking a load of rubbish. When I got my own tests back they refused to accept them because they were not their own tests!! So they did one more test to shut me up and discharged me telling me that the test would come back negative. I asked if they would wait till the tests came back - but they refused saying that they would be negative but would call me if they were positive. Well they did call me and I was sitting next to an NHS surgeon when they called back and when he overheard the conversation and went ballistic - so I shared my (Private saliva) cortisol results with him. They had just been fobbing me off FOR SIX YEARS inferring that I was a hypochondriac. They then destroyed FOUR consecutive ACTH tests because of pathetic cost controlling procedures. I was able to do basic time of day tests and blood glucose monitoring using a Freestyle Libre to prove my point. When I arrived at Kings and they did all the tests confirming that I was right it was like a dream came true. Just recovering from pituitary surgery and I am SO IMPRESSED. Kings makes my local hospital look like Kwikfit! If you have pituitary problems - get to Kings and let the Pro's deal with it - no more worrying and grief - just let them get on with it - World class and THEY KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING !!! Most of all they listen to you and interact and respond. You don't get a wall of silence cos the Dr has to go next door to ask his boss what to do next and his boss is useless (I met him too - and he also dismissed me having a pituitary problem) - obviously another usless dr.!! There is some true rubbish in the HNS - but Kings are just amazing - I can recomend them and Dr Whitelaw. Wow what a polished outfit!

Mr. Whitelaw is an excellent Doctor who is extremely knowledgeable and very easy to communicate with. He took the time to explain things in great detail and to answer my questions in full. I felt he listened and took me seriously and never dismissed any 'alternative' ideas I had which was greatly appreciated. Despite the fact he has a very busy surgery at KCH I did not feel my appointment was rushed even when there was an error with the booking system and my appointment was overlooked. I felt very fortunate and grateful to have had Mr. Whitelaw as my consultant.

I was extremely impressed with Dr Whitelaw. He explained everything in great detail and was a great listener. If only more doctors could behave in the same manner, the world would be a better place. I had total faith in him

Dr Whitelaw is very polite and showed an interest in me. He is factual and encouraged me to look at the computer to learn about my results.
