I am very grateful to dr.Basil Issa. I suffered a lot in the last two years because of rare symptoms and no one helped me until I decided to see dr.Issa. It was the best decision in my life. He is such a professional and caring doctor. He really worked hard and did every possible thing to find the best treatment for my problem. I can’t recommend him enough. Thank you dr.Issa. You have my deepest thanks. I'll never forget your support and help.

I was a patient of Dr Issa for hyperthyroidism. So glad we chose to see him at the Alexandra hospital. He is very approachable and knowledgeable in his field. He listened to all my concerns and picked out the best treatment plan for me. I was hyperthyroidism free after 18 months of treatment. There is no words to tell you how amazing he is! I would highly recommend you see him if you have any thyroidism problems.

I have been seeing Dr Issa for a number of years he is always very professional, he is approachable and very patient and makes sure that I thoroughly understand everything that we discuss and he is proactive in helping me manage my condition so I dont feel like Im 'just another statistic" but actually a person whose condition matters and I wish there were more doctors like him

I have been a patient of Dr Issa for a number of years, he has always provided both myself and my daughter with excellent care. He is a good communicator, always makes time for us and provides us with holistic care . He is very open about the pros and cons of our genetic condition and supportive to us and our partners. When i have been an inpatient not under his care he has also made time to see me on the ward. He has been actively involved with the research into new treatments for hyperlipidemia and i am personally benefiting from his participation in this research. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him as an endocrinologist.

Such a lovely doctor as he knows I am a difficult and nervous patient. Just a shame that Wythenshawe hospital and his staff let his clinic down.

Dr Issa is a Consultant Endocrinologist at Manchester University Foundation NHS Trust, The Alexandra Hospital, Cheadle and at The HCA Wilmslow Hospital. He has been a Consultant Endocrinologist since 1998 and has a wealth of experience in treating Endocrine disorders including Thyroid, Parathyroid, Pituitary disorders, reproductive endocrinology, disorders of bone and calcium metabolism, obesity and Diabetes and its complications. Having trained in Endocrinology in Manchester, Southampton and Cardiff where he conducted research in neuroendocrinology and was awarded a Doctor of Medicine degree, he was appointment as Consultant Endocrinologist at North Manchester General Hospital where he led and developed the endocrine services. He was awarded FRCP in 2002 and was appointed as Consultant Endocrinologist at Wythenshawe Hospital in 2004 where he currently practices. He held the positions of speciality lead in Endocrinology, Clinical Director of Medical Specialities and Associate Medical Director for Medical Workforce. Research interests include adrenal disease, obesity and diabetes in pregnancy. He holds an Honorary Senior Lecturer post with the University of Manchester. He has a number of publications in peer-reviewed journals.
