This comment is a little late, during my admission to Whiston Hospital last November, I spoke to Dr Ayo Olatoye. I found him to be a very professional Doctor, willing to take the time to listen to me, and I felt it made a difference to me to have my conversation with him.
Without a doubt I would recommend Dr Olatoye.
Yours sincerely

Incredibly friendly, empathetic, reassuring manner. Listens really well; communicates in a warm and straightforward way.
Top man
Ayo has been a very inspiring consultant to work with and i have learnt a lot from my time with him. I really appreciate his goal to try and get us as juniors thinking more about each component that is necessary for a patient to receive great care. From working with the nurses on AMU as well, Ayo is consistently praised by them and really well respected. I hope I get the chance to work with him again.
Dr Olatoye is a fantastic doctor; he always challenges you to think and explains the rationale behind every decision and plan he's made. He's very effecient with his consultations and does a thorough examination of his patients. He is a formidable doctor and someone who one would aspire to be like in the future. I only wish I was with him more on Ward Round.
Ayo is a professional and approachable consultant doctor on AMU that's valued by all the department. He is empathetic towards his patients and reminds us to reflect on what kind of doctor we should strive to be. He conducts thorough ward rounds with clear plans, and is always available and happy to discuss his patients. He is an excellent and supportive teacher who takes extra time to educate, challenge and enrich junior doctors.
Profile
I specialise in acute medicine. I am passionate about making sure my patients understand what is being said and what the medical plan is.
I understand that hospitals can be a scary place and so I aim to put patients (and their families) at their ease.
I acknowledge that although I may have seen your condition a hundred times before, this may the first time you have spoken to a doctor in years so I will give you the time you need to explain to me what is going on.
My standard of care is to ask myself "if this was your relative, how would you like them to be treated?"
