Dr Natarajan is a great anaesthetist. He gave me spinal anaesthetic before a Green Light vaporisation treatment on my enlarged prostate. I had been in complete bladder retention for two months before this as a side effect of another operation. I was naturally very keen to have a remedy but due to the Covid emergency the NHS could offer nothing in the near future and so I had to go privately. After months in lockdown my morale was low and I was also apprehensive about undergoing a laser procedure which was novel to me. This was also my first spinal jab. I appreciated that Dr Natarajan was sympathetic but straightforward about the risks and that he assured me that my safety was his top concern. As it worked out, the spinal injection plus a sedative managed to ensure that I knew nothing until it was all over. Top marks to Dr Natarajan. He knows his stuff!
