I recently visited with my son. He had been struggling with stress at work and was unsure how to manage the way he was feeling. He was embarrassed to be going to his GP with his mum but felt he needed the support. From the moment we stepping into her consulting room she was attentive to his needs. She listened and was sensitive to the fact that I had gone with him. After listening she gave him advice but also gave him the opportunity to make decisions about his own care.
