Dr Ramachandran listens patiently and as I am elderly and have the problems that go with age this is a bonus. She was very sympathetic when I was coping with my husband who had many problems including dementia and that was such a help. She is very approachable and sympathetic. I just hope that the pressure of Government targets and seemingly unhelpful coverage of the NHS and general practitioners doesn't make GP's as good as her leave the service

I have been a patient of dr. Ramachandran over the last year or so. What I feel makes her very special is the way she listens to what the patient is saying, without jumping to the conclusion too early. She will discuss the symptoms and possible causes in detail before proposing a course of treatment. She will provide satisfactory answers to patient's questions, and will take into account patient's suggestions with regards to the proposed treatment, which I think is particularly important. She does make patient feel like she really wants to help. In this day and age of cut-price NHS, when GP's are under a lot of pressure to reduce the overall treatment costs, I have never felt like I was being denied a necessary test or treatment. In fact, thanks to dr. Ramachandran, who referred me to a specialist, I received a successful treatment of a long standing skin condition that has not been seen by other doctors as serious enough to be treated, but nevertheless was embarrassing, and bugging me for years. For that alone I shall always remain a very grateful patient of dr. Ramachandran.

I recently visited with my son. He had been struggling with stress at work and was unsure how to manage the way he was feeling. He was embarrassed to be going to his GP with his mum but felt he needed the support. From the moment we stepping into her consulting room she was attentive to his needs. She listened and was sensitive to the fact that I had gone with him. After listening she gave him advice but also gave him the opportunity to make decisions about his own care. Many thanks
