I look forward to my appointments with Dr Deering. He listens to what I have to say, understands what is happening to me and explains exactly why he is offering the treatment that he does. He does all of this with a smile and a laugh. It is not like visiting a consultant, it is like visiting a good friend. I will be sorry when I am discharged and am no longer able to go and see him.

I found Dr Deering to be professional, caring and informative. Although I had just had a stroke and was told I had a hole in my heart, Dr Deering made me feel as if the worst was over and I would be all right. Highly recommended professional.

Doctor Deering made my whole experience very easy. He is extremely knowledgeable and has a fantastic manner. He spoke to me openly about my problem, explaining everything in detail without being patronising. Would definitely recommend.

I have had the privilege of working with Dr Deering as his junior doctor on ward 6b at Gloucester Royal Hospital. Dr Deering is one of the most experienced physicians I have ever trained under. He is very keen on teaching his junior colleagues and maintains excellent relationships with all members of the multi-disciplinary team - valuing their contribution to patient care. The standard of care and dedication I have witnessed being delivered by him to patients has always been to a very high standard and there are many aspects of his clinical practice I am aiming to emulate in my own career. A fantastic physician and role model to his junior colleagues!

I was delighted to meet Dr Deering who immediately diagnosed my on-going (>3 years)complaint, which had remained undiagnosed despite many visits to various consultants up and down the country. Dr Deering is always kind and takes time to listen. He is fun to chat with, although I know he always takes me seriously. He is also always very happy to include my mum in all our consultations. It is very easy to get hold of his secretary, Glynn, who has helped me to make appointments whenever necessary. Clinics always run on time, which is very helpful as I do not live locally. Thank you Dr Deering!
