Our 12 year-old daughter was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes last year and to say that the road after her diagnosis was a bumpy one, would be a massive understatement. No matter how much our family focussed on a low carb eating plan and exercise, her sugars would go from extreme highs to extreme lows in the matter of an hour, which could be due to hormonal changes. Dr Arla Ogilvie and her team, namely Michèle Cloete (Practice Nurse) and Ronelle Fourie (Office Manager), have been our safety net: in a petrifying time we were blessed by God with the assurance that Dr Ogilvie’s office would always be able to assist with the latest crisis. Dr Ogilvie also played a huge role in our daughter’ acceptance of the condition, helping her to realise that she could still live a normal life with diabetes. And with her assistance, our daughter was able and very privileged to receive a Medtronic insulin pump and finally, improved blood sugar levels and peace of mind about our daughter’s safety. Very bad experience with Dr Arla Ogivie and would recommend in my personal experience to think twice booking with her. She prescribed me medication that is not even available on the market in South Africa, she then advised that we need to do a section 21 trial to import it

Dr Ogilvie is the best physician and an all round lovely lady. She is so knowledgeable and friendly and nothing is too much trouble. What she doesn’t know isn’t worth knowing and my GP once told me her word was “gospel”! You’ll not find a safer pair of hands.
