I saw Dr Pavlidis after experiencing increasing episodes of palpitations. He was so thorough with the tests he recommended, leaving no stone unturned. He explained the results to me in a way I could understand and discussed the plan forward. He was very happy to help me get the correct medication; I always felt he was there if I needed him. I must also thank his PA for her help and for always replying promptly to messages. A great team! I would highly recommend Dr Pavlidis.

I was reffered to Dr Pavlidis by our family cardialogist and I am so pleased that he did The other consultants I met were insisting that I will require bypass surgery, I was not happy with that as I felt my condition was not that serious Dr Pavlidis took time to study my condition and stents, he told me that with new technology even totally blocked artaries can be stented I had the proceedure done by Dr Pavlidis at St Thomas’ Hospital and have now fully recovered and able to go about my normal life. I have appreciated his help and I would am to recommend him. Ajit

I first met Dr Pavlidis on Sept 5th 2015 due to going to accident and emergency at Queen Elizabeth Hospital with chest pains on the same date.At the time i did not know that i was having a heart attack i was rushed to theatre where he informed me of what needed to be done and the operation was successful. Afterwards Dr Pavlidis came to see me in the ward and told me that the operation was a success but i may need to come back for further surgery and that he would see me in 3 months time to discuss this. I came back to see him and he asked me how i had been and i told him that i felt fine so it was decided by that no further surgery was needed at this time but if i was concerned about anything all i needed to do was get in touch with him. I found that he was a true professional, polite, understanding and very humble towards me due to the operation it was very important that i stayed calm and relaxed and due to him and his staff being so professional i found this quite easy to do. The next time i met Dr Pavlidis was on 6th Dec 2017 i had been having pains in my chest for a couple of weeks and was referred to the rapid response department for this issue, i went to the appointment and while there i was taken ill with chest pains a nurse came straight away and gave me a ECG and found that i was having a heart attack. The nurse went to Dr Pavlidis with the results and he felt that i needed to be operated on straight away. All the nurses including the secretary kept me very calm and although i could not see anything as i was lying down i was informed later that everyone was running around getting everything prepared. There was a issue as because i had not gone through accident and emergency they could not issue me a bed but this was where Dr Pavlidis came to the rescue he told the nurses to deal with this later and to take me straight to theatre. From the time of my appointment to being operated on, it took 20 minutes and i believe that due to the rapid response Dr Pavlidis and all of the nurses took they most definitely saved my life that day and i cannot thank them enough. When i was being operated on apart from the heart attack i also had a rather large blood clot that had to be dealt with, the operation was successful and i needed to have more stents and balloons put in in another 2 operations one in May and the other in sept of 2018 both performed by Dr Pavlidis and both have been successful. The last thing i would like to say is on the day of the heart attack and blood clot operation i was sent to the ward to recover and when all the nurses and staff had finished there shifts they all came to see me to see if i was recovering well and they all wanted to touch me because they wanted some of my luck. I feel so blessed that we have our NHS nurses and doctors like Dr Pavlidis and i feel that's where my luck comes from. Last question is would i recommend Dr Pavlidis? What do you think.

I have been in the care of Dr Pavlidis for the last 6 months having 3 separate interventions, firstly at Queen Elizabeth Hospital and then at St Thomas’ Hospital for Angiograms and Angioplasty. His manner and expertise instils great confidence. He is calm and very clear about the options available. I have appreciated very much the time he has spent with me but most of all his deep technical expertise in dealing with the complexities of my case. I would not hesitate to recommend him. I was referred to Mr Pavlidis at St Thomas by East Surrey due to a heart condition detected whilst hill walking. I had three stents installed during a 24 hour visit to St Thomas which was carried out in a timely fashion. Management of the operating theatre was effective and I was sedated but conscious throughout, and thus able to advise and be consulted when and if needed. Care throughout the procedure was first rate and considerate, and Mr Pavlidis went the extra mile when I needed to contact him after the procedure due to some more local problems with aftercare outside his jurisdiction. I would have no problem recommending him to anyone needing similar surgery.

I saw Dr. Pavlidis at Queen Elizabeth Hospital. I felt that he could be more informative and communicative on the procedure I would have. Overall there was a huge and unnecessary rush from his side (which for me was a sign of lack of professionalism). Personally I didn't have a good experience. Sorry to say that but I have high expectations from my doctors.

We met Dr Pavlidis through the Queen Elizabeth hospital where my Father was receiving treatment following a heart attack. PCI is a procedure which Dr Pavlidis specialises in. We unsure whether my Father's medical conditions would qualify for this procedure so I contacted Dr Pavlidis for expert advice. Firstly I was impressed with the speed with which Dr Pavlidis responded to my email. In person, he was charming, polite, respectful, able to communicate in a simple manner for my Father to understand. As a result Dr Pavlidis recently performed successful PCI on my Father. Whatever the future holds for my Father, I will be forever grateful to Dr Pavlidis. I will never underestimate the dedication & sacrifices made in order to reach such levels of medical excellence so that others may benefit.

He is very selfish as a doctor and he doesn't listen to patients and colleagues. I strongly feel that he still has a lot to learn and to act more professionally. He is also entirely ungrateful towards other colleagues. He treats well only the ones who will help him professionally.

Still some improvement in knowledge and listening to the patient is needed. Overall ok.
