I was referred to Dr Wilton by my GP and as it was a very rare condition blood tests had highlighted he telephoned me the same day and I was seen very quickly. I am now awaiting an operation and frustratingly for myself and Mr Wilton 8 months have passed and still no operation, but that is nothing to do with him or his excellent team. His assistants G&A were also great at their jobs..... CH
Saw Dr. Wilton today about a problem that I have had for around a year and he was very understanding, thorough and very informative. I thought he was very pleasant as was his assistant with him.
I am an eighty year old woman and after being in chronic pain for a number of weeks I was referred to Dr Tony Walton for diagnosis and found him to be the most unhelpful, rude and obnoxious man I have ever met. After describing my symptoms he rudely stated that he couldn’t help and couldn’t understand why I had been sent to see him… no explanation why or what it could be
He made me feel I was wasting his time and reduced me to tears. I left for home still in lots of pain and feeling totally let down.
I read a few positive reviews above and gave him a chance after a few appointments which I found him to be non informative, cold, rude, abrupt & not really explaining anything. However my gut instinct was telling me (how I was made to feel in the times I saw him), the negative comment on here, was right ! I've never met a Consultant/Dr as horrible & cold as he was! You're not supposed to feel worse! Hopefully I will never see him again! As for the 2 members of staff writing positive comments on here - a nurse told me not to feel upset etc (when he up and left in the middle of 1 appointment to go for a walk to his office) as he's like that 'cold' / 'rude' with everyone!!!! The waiting and lack of diagnosis & no contact for 2 years but leaving you on medication that the gp had to stop...is disgusting! If anyone reads these reviews...go with your gut...trust your own intuition & judgements! He obviously treats a hedgehog better than his patients & some staff/nurses! No one knows what people are going through and it just pays to be a little nicer/kind!
Tony Wilton treated my Mother. His straight talking bedside manner was exactly what she needed. Far better to be straight and honest with patients
