Professor Bateman has been my psychiatrist for many years. He s also a fully trained psychoanalyst and psychotherapist. This shows in how well he hears what I say. Normally psychiatrists reach for the prescription pad. he is interested in what is happening and why I am so unhappy. I can tell him anything even things I find very embarrassing and humiliating. He always makes me feel better about myself. I wish all my friends had someone like him and every psychiatrist worked how he does. He does no private work and is committed to the NHS.
