Dr Malaviya is the kindness most considerate consultant I have had the pleasure to visit for a very long time. He listens and in general takes great care in explaining to you what you can do to feel better. I would highly recommend anyone to visit him, we are lucky to have doctors like him.

Dr Malaviya is by far the best Consultant I have ever seen. He listens and makes it so easy to ask questions and does not rush you. He speaks to you on a level that is so understandable. He gives you the reassurance that there is a treatment for your condition. He acts quickly and you really feel looked after. I have recommended him to others and will continue to do so. I can’t thank him enough for the treatment I have received.

After researching rheumatologist in the Essex area I feel extremely lucky to have come across Dr Malaviya. My GP also spoke very highly of him and since starting my treatment I feel the same way. If you want a Doctor that listens to you, explains any treatment /diagnosis in an understandable way and goes above and beyond for there patient then I can not recommend Dr Malaviya enough.

Dr Malaviya is very supportive and attentive. He listens, isn't fatphobic and doesn't judge me by my BMI. He looks at the whole picture and is the most caring doctor I have met in a very very long time. He is the best doctor I've ever had and because of him I got a much needed surgery before it was extremely life threatening. It wasn't even his department but he noticed just by speaking to me that I had a stridor that needed to be looked into and he sent me for tests and got me the right help. I can't thank him enough for looking at the whole picture and not just what his department covers. I first saw Dr Malaviya as a private patient but he helped me so much I asked if I could see him on the NHS, it would mean a long drive to appointments but I would see this doctor anywhere I value him so much.

Dr Malaviya takes the time to listen and really get to the bottom of what the main issues are and is very thorough when taking a history and in his examination. He checks that you understand everything about your condition and treatment that you need to know, and encourages you to ask questions if you need to. He speaks to you at your level without sounding patronising or condescending in any way. Before I saw him I was really struggling with pain and fatigue and felt hopeless. The first thing he did was give me hope. Sometimes it takes a while to get the right combination of medicines to tweak the treatment so that you get optimal relief. Dr Malaviya was reassuring and gave me the hope that we would find the right treatment. I never feel I've been rushed or let down in any way when I've had an appointment. More importantly he does his best to remember everything about your case from appointment to appointment, and if there's something he doesn't quite remember he asks, so that you have continuity of care and the best treatment for you. I feel he actually cares for each individual as a person, rather than just another patient.
