I have recently consulted Dr Mukherjee as I had been struggling with extreme fatigue and hair loss for the last couple of years. What was immediately different about Dr Mukherjee is that she considered my complete health, wellbeing and recent history before offering treatment and advice. I was shocked and upset to learn from her review of my historical blood tests that I had been struggling with anemia that had not been picked up or considered by my GP or two other specialists I had seen. However Dr Mukherjee assured me that my hair loss and fatigue were/are treatable and she made recommendations for supplements, dietary changes, and mental wellbeing. Within only one month of seeing her, following her advice and feeling much more robust as a result of the confidence she gave me in her diagnosis, I have seen my iron levels double, my fatigue diminish and I have faith that my hair will re-grow healthily. More GPs and medical professionals need to consider an integrated, holistic approach to treatment, to consider the whole person and not just rush to offer drugs to suppress symptoms. Dr Mukherjee does this and I am very grateful to her for it.
