I’ve recently had major surgery due to getting ovarian cancer twice in the last year. I’ve lost all chances of being a biological mum. I’m still on strong medication due to the pain from surgery and over the weekend I started experiencing more intense pains. I went back to my hospital yesterday to get it assessed but I’d requested more strong medication in the meantime as I was running out. My usual GP had told me if I needed anymore just to ring the practice up and they will prescribe me more. Dr Forbes rang me whilst I was at the hospital, where I was already anxious of what was causing me this severe pain. She was very rude and blunt with me, I’d say very patronising and condescending, saying I shouldn’t be on this pain relief anymore and my pain should have gone by now. Bearing in mind, this woman does not know me, she doesn’t know the ins and outs of what a complex diagnosis and time we’ve had. And thirdly, she’s never met me!! How on earth can you tell someone, someone who’s only 21, that’s had cancer twice in a year, who’s still in pain after a short period of time after surgery, that they don’t need their medication anymore!! Absolutely WOULD NOT RECOMMEND!

I attended an appointment with Dr Forbes yesterday, I must say she was outstanding. Small things like collecting me from the waiting room, listening & treating me in a human way was refreshing. I was shown out, she opened the door for me and shook my hand. It was a warming experience & I trusted the care that she gave me. I have been a patient at Kingthorne Group Practice my whole life (I am 42 now) & so has my entire family. I have always had great care from this surgery & never had a problem getting an appointment when needed.

Dr Forbes is very easy to get along with so that you feel very relaxed within a minute of meeting her. This is particularly important for my (adult) daughter who has learning disabilities and is profoundly deaf as well as having Type 2 Diabetes. My daughter could not have a more appropriate Doctor for as well as having excellent personal skills and medical knowledge Dr Forbes is an expert on Diabetes. So happy that we took Dr Coleman's advice to consult Dr Forbes!

I find Dr Forbes direct but compassionate, never hurried you, you always feel that she is listening and interested in what you have to say. With her medical knowledge i feel totally confident that she is able to deal with any health concern that I may have. I am so happy with her care I am willing to wait to see her if there isn't an immediately appointment.

A wonderful practice with great doctors and service. My husband and I have been cared for By this practice for about 40 years have nothing but praise for the staff especially dr Coleman and dr Forbes who we have mostly dealt with. However everyone who works at the Practice, doctors , nurses and office staff, are excellent and do a great job in what must be very difficult times when Everything keeps changing so quickly . R
