I found Dr Hensiek very pleasant and thank her for her report (11May 2023) Is there a solution to my problem?

Thank you for your report. It would be helpful if I could understand it . Presumably the purpose of my meeting with you was to try to find a solution to my problem. There is no mention of this.

Response from Dr Anke Hensiek

Thank you very much for leaving a review on this website. However, these internet reviews are anonymous and without further details it it unfortunately therefore not possible for me to respond to your query. Would it be possible to contact my secretary in the hospital where I saw you and I will then get back to you?

Sarah went into the clinic with her dolly (baby) she has an educational age of 4 1/2. Dr Anke immediately picked up on this and used the dolly to show Sarah what she was going to do and Sarah had no problems at all, nor did the Doctor. She was so pleased that the Doctor took notice of her dolly! Thank you so much - it made my day a lot more pleasant as well!

I did not meet Anke personally, but I was seen by a Kirsten Scott, a Neurology SpR to Dr Hensiek, I have to say how Kind, informative and understanding she is and has been throughout my ordeal which is still on going. I completely trust her judgment and incredibly grateful for her time, knowledge and professionalism and have complete faith that she will make me better.

I saw Dr Hensiek initially at the Spire Hospital this Spring as a private patient, and then at Addenbrookes Hospital by telephone this Autumn as many people I know were suffering COVID. I consider that the impact of COVID and high work loads has continued to make communication difficult for all health professionals. As her patient, I consider Dr Hensiek is a reflective practitioner who listens to feedback in a constructive manner. She linked with the NHS neuropsychological department in order that she could understand me better. As a result of the assessments she has now been able to forward a clearer diagnosis and my plans to my GP practice. I now feel more knowledgeable of my condition and practical steps I can now take to move forward with my life.
