I had a telephone consultation with Dr Roy regarding my mother who has advanced dementia and is a resident in a care home in Swansea. Dr Roy was very informative and gave a very clear picture of my mother's condition and her management of care.

Dr Roy is an excellent communicator. He was clear in his explanations, thorough and thoughtful. He is compassionate and reassuring. He explained the risks and benefits of treatment options and respectful of our opinions. We felt that his assessment was thorough and feel confident in the care plan.

Dr. Roy visited my mother to assess her mental health. There was also a nurse from the care home present. I was given ample time by the doctor to state my worries and concerns for my mother. I felt Dr. Roy really listened to what I had to say and was very patient. He took time to answer the questions I raised and also gave a lot of information on my mother's diagnosis. I found him easy to talk to and very kind. When the discussion was over I was happy that everything I had brought up had been dealt with and I thanked Dr. Roy for listening to me. He comes across as a caring man and I can't think of antything he could improve on.

My sister has Alzheimer's disease. She has been a patient in Hengoed Park since April 2017. We know Dr Anjan Roy to be a knowledgeable, skilled and courteous doctor. We had a meeting with him in March this year. My sister had just returned from a seven week stay in Morriston Hospital and he needed to review her medication. He was very careful to make sure that he had a full update on my sister's progression with her disease. He put the Hengoed staff at ease while obtaining this information from them. He explained to us in detail the various drug options and what he thought was best for my sister. He was thorough and unhurried in his considerations. My wife and I have full confidence in Dr Roy.
