Practical, down to earth, common sense, no fuss. Everything that is lacking with most services nowadays
Dr Anderson was wonderful in the way she handled a situation with an extremely unwell member of the family. She came out within about three quarters of an hour of being phoned, listened to what his wishes were and went to great efforts to ensure that he was comfortable and had all the support he needed to enable him to have a peaceful last few days, giving him the opportunity to see all his family and pass away peacefully at home as he wished. She managed to put all this in place so quickly, arranging for district nurses to come out and returning to ensure he was alright after her afternoon surgery was completed.
I went to see Dr Anderson - she listened intently, treated me like an adult, had a grown up discussion with me, used language that was informative, respectful and not patronising and generally dealt with me in the way that I expect to be treated. I wasn't lectured or made to feel an idiot. I would have no hesitation in seeing her again
I was referred to Dr Anderson due to her expertise in moles. She listened, was able to identify what I was worried about and put my mind at rest. She gave useful information about what to look out for (both normal and abnormal), and reassured me that I hadn't wasted her time. The quality of care and the doctor's manner were both excellent.
What would have improved my experience? Only the time it took to get an appointment: 2 weeks to see the first doctor (though I did like being able to book online) and then 2 weeks to see Dr Anderson.
My experience with Dr Anderson has been acceptable, always. I need reassurance. I really feel that she has my welfare at heart. Also, she listens to me,which I appreciate. Being a senior citizen, I need this, as I am maybe, a little slower, on taking things in.
I feel Dr Anderson takes account of this, which pleases me.I have every confidence in her.
