I've been a patient of portsdown group practice on and off more years than I care to remember, Dr whittamore is definitely one of best doctors I've come across. He's always curtious, thorough and never makes you feel rushed even though the practice can get very busy at times, his calming and relaxed bedside manner is definitely a rarity these days. I honestly couldn't recommend him enough to anyone, if Dr whittamore is the GP that you see on the day then you can rest assured that you are in safe hands.

Dr Whittamore is one of the friendliest doctors I have ever met. And my wife will vouch for that. The Portsdown group practice offer a service that is second to none. You are never rushed, the doctors seem to have time and listen to you. They are courteous and polite (and the receptionists). I have been with them for over 10 years and have no complaints at all. I had been with a couple of practices in the Cowplain area since a child to adulthood. After moving to PGP under the recommendation of a friends (who husband was a doctor), I wondered why I had put up with previously. I couldn't believe how different (better) it was. It was like a breath of fresh air.
