Specialises in: Neurology
Dr Weir has always listened to me and my Husband and given us great care and understanding at Royal Berkshire and West Berkshire Hospitals from 2019 when I was diagnosed to the present time. He makes sure we have understood the discussion always summarising at the end the actions that will be taken. Whenever I have needed help he has actioned this as swiftly as possible for instance referrals for neurocognition assessment and bowel and bladder assessment. We are very happy with him as my Neurologist as he has a wealth of experience and a good balance of risk and benefit when deciding on treatments. We have always felt well informed by him and involved in the decisions. Thank you so much.

Very arrogant and dismissive. He didn't believe my MS symptoms, assuming them to be "psychological" despite evidence of lesions on my MRI scans. It's sad to find this kind of prejudice still occurring amongst neurologists, who ought to have more understanding of odd-sounding symptoms that may be difficult for the patient to describe.

In a very difficult area Dr Weir shows an imense knowledge and understanding. He has extremely good interpersonal skills and is always polite and charming. He is dedicated to the NHS and does no private work. He seems to me to be an excellent example for young doctors.
