I can only say for me , he is not a great listener and has his own opinions about the treatment I was receiving from a hospital .which I found condescending , We did not get on and I felt quite demoralised after seeing him . the tests he told me to do , did not come back on time, and I was left feeling deflated with nowwhere to turn ,before a trip . I'm sure he is a good Doctor, just not the right one for me,

Response from Dr Andrew Flynn

I am sorry that you felt that I was not a good listener and you left our consultation demoralised. From your comments I am not able to identify you to recall our consultation but would welcome you back to see me and discuss your concerns in person so that we can resolve this situation. Sometimes medication prescribed by a hospital specialist is not licenced or it's continued prescription is not endorsed by the regulatory bodies because no shared care agreement exists. Other times, particularly when advice is given quickly or verbally by A&E staff it does not always abide by the current guidelines. I wish I could be more specific in your case in terms of the treatment being advised by the hospital. Regarding test results, these are processed as quickly as possible by the hospital laboratories and we aim to discuss any aberrant results with patients as quickly as possible depending on the urgency of any abnormal findings. Occasionally tests do need to be sent away to specialist labs and the results from these tests can take longer. We are sorry that these results did not come back before your trip but hope that you have now heard and all is well.
