Dr Eichholz is a brilliant Doctor who is extremely empathetic and very knowledgeable about his area of expertise. He is really easy to talk to and listens carefully to you. I have been his patient for a number of years and am extremely saddened that he is no longer going to be my oncologist. Please come back soon!

He listens to you gives you confidence in the treatment you are receiving and makes time to explain everything what side effects you may suffer and how they can be treated it is a pleasure to see him and given me confidence to cope with my cancer

Dr Andrew Eichholz is an excellent Oncology Doctor and I feel lucky and privileged that he was my oncologist. I first met him in 2016 when I was diagnosed with breast cancer. He has a very gentle nature and is very calm, considerate and caring. He is extremely knowledgeable in his field and very thorough. Under his care I felt that I was in the best hands and receiving the best treatment. And thankfully after 6 rounds of chemo, a lumpectomy operation, radiotherapy, Herceptin injections and treatment for Sepsis I am one of the lucky ones to still be here today. I cannot fault the care I received from Dr Eichholz, the breast care nurses and all the other NHS staff who were involved in my treatment and I cannot thank them enough. I was recently referred back to Dr Eichholz after a CT scan and bone scan revealed that I had fractured several ribs. Again the care and attention he gave me was impeccable. As a result of his knowledge and thorough questioning and looking at my history and referring me for a bone density scan, I received a diagnosis of osteopenia from the rheumatologist which turned out to be the cause of my rib fractures (thankfully not bone cancer) and I am now receiving treatment for this. Dr Eichholz booked a follow up call with me to follow up after my appointment with him to discuss that the outcome was as he was suspecting and confirm that he didn’t need to refer me for a PET scan. 5 star service all the way.

The first time I met Dr Eichholz he gave me far more information about my breast cancer operation than anyone had told me before. He also explained all of the processes and options going forward and I felt participative in the decision making. He treated me with respect and dignity, being open and honest but with a gentle manner. I have every confidence in him. In my follow up appointment I explained I was having major side effects from the medication I was on. He discussed the pros and cons of the alternatives with me, and after a trial of a few months off, he changed my medication to one with much less side effects. He is one of the best Doctors I’ve met.

He has a very kind, caring ,calm and honest manner.He took time to explain things to my Mum,she has absolute faith in him .Even when the news has not been good,it was given with great care ,empathy and sensitivity, somehow softening the impact. I know that Mum has really appreciated this and has felt that she has had excellent care.
