Since meeting Andrew Eichholz back in 2019, the care he has given my mother - Elizabeth Purvis is second to non. He always takes the time to listen to mum and is so compassionate with his care. Not only Mum but he takes in the concerns of my brother and I. Mums experience up to 2019 was not a very good one with oncologists but Andrew has won her trust to the point where she is now taking Chemo - something she would not consider before. He truly is a wonderful consultant, with a genuine heart. He wants only the best for his patients and his warm and generosity shines through. Dr Eichholz is an extremely approachable friendly consultant who has the ability to convey difficult and at times traumatic life changing information in a compassionate and caring way. He is able to do this in a way that as the patient you can understand what is being said to you followed up by written information for the parts that you do not hear due to the stressful situation a patient may be experiencing. The explanations, suggestions and recommendations for treatment is based on up-to-date research which is shared with you at consultation, with you (the patient) can choose to follow or not on factual information. The service that I personally received has been exceptional.

I have been so impressed by the care I have received with Dr Eichholz at Stoke Mandeville Hospital. He is extremely professional but has a caring sensitive nature and explains everything in great detail. Myself and my husband have had opportunity to ask any questions we have had and these have been answered very clearly. Having Dr Eichholz as my oncologist has made my situation less stressful and his friendliness and manner allow me to be myself and have a positive outlook about my treatment.
