There are two things to say about this doctor:- (1) that he is very well informed and up to date with modern medical procedures, he gives you the time to explain any problems and listens to what you have to say and he is prepared to suggest and to discuss the solution options that are available and (2)that he is an absolute gentleman in every way.

I can never get an appointment within 3 weeks with Dr Rhugani,.Recently I was asked by letter at his request to come in for a diabetes review I have had this condition for over 10 years. I have suffered also with arthritic joints, and bad circulation of lower body. I have worked all my Life and have never had time off work, despite my overall condition . I was finally given an appointment 3 weeks later, not at Burncross- but at High Green. I attended and was seen ok , but I asked for referral for weight reduction surgery, which ,when I was working was denied me ,until I lost 3 stone in weight I managed to do this but heard nothing further. I did get referred for consideration for surgery, I got a letter several weeks later to make an appointment with Dr R, or arrange a telephone discussion appointment with Dr R I was told no contact was possible with Dr R for at least 3-4 weeks instead I was booked in for a telephone discussion with a new doctor I had never heard of , 2 days later I got the call over 50 mins late ,but the doctor had no prior Knowledge of what health issue was involved, he was very polite, but not versed in my case, he told me I would be subjected to review by NICE. but having had a negative response from them over 5 years earlier. Considering this, I declined to follow up action required and resigned myself at 66 years of age to continue, with 8 Co-coadamol and 3 Ibroprofen a day to control pain endured. If I needed treatment for any other problem, then I could accept any Doctors treatment but I think any Doctor would take over Three Days to see anyway. I had cellulitis in my leg a few years ago and had to visit a walk -in centre for initial response. please , please try to improve appointment times available . Been a patient for over 40 Years and sadly have never felt as exposed to health issue problems
