Superb. I have been with this practice for 30 years, and the whole team always try to excel. Moreover, they work together. Dr Ahmed is a wonderful doctor, and treats you as an individual. He quite often checks back on my own previous history where this might affect his diagnosis or choice of treatment. My memory is not what it once was. Above all Dr Ahmed does not rush you, and seems to have time to ask questions and to listen to your replies.

I have been with Dr Ahmed for over 15 years. Fortunately, I haven't had to visit him too many times during that period, so I guess he's doing a great job! He is professional and very personable. Even though I feel the pressure of waiting patients he never appears rushed and is always very efficient with a keen interest in preventative care. It's a great, forward thinking practice, with a great team who, despite the pressures on them, always seem to willing to help. I think everyone should take a spell living/working abroad as I have, to realise that it is great to have an NHS and it is great NHS that we have. Robert K.

This Dr is still an excellent GP as are others in the practise. However the practise has become oversubscribed and the set up cannot cope with the enormous number of new patients dumped in its lap.As a result the Drs are incredibly pushed for time, and how they recall who all the patients are I don't know, unless they read up before each patient enters the room. How sad to see a first class surgery going slowly into decline because they are overloaded. I have been with the practise 39years and apart from the last 2 years all was excellent. By the way , the pharmacy has become a joke….they really are struggling with the number of new patients! Very sad.

Today I visited Dr Amar Ahmed to have a check on my left rib cage as I was having a constant pain. Dr Ahmed tested my breathing and where the pain was. He thought it might be a strained muscle and suggested that I had an x-ray at Macclesfield hospital. I visited the hospital and am now awaiting the result. I was told to check this in the new year with Dr Ahmed.

As has been typical of the past when consulting Dr Ahmed it was possible today, in one brief consultation, to cover a number of key issues on my health for which action points were defined for all. As judged by past consultations, I am confident that these will result in satisfactory outcomes.
