I met Dr Birtle post surgery and to get pathology results, so it was a meeting I was anxious about, had my cancer spread was it treatable?, from the start of the meeting the clarity of information given the understanding of my concerns were carefully managed, I felt she totally understood how the patient (and family) were feeling and the explanation of the pathology results, next steps, likely outcome were given in a clear way, the “journey plan” what she thought what tests I would be having how my progress was and would be measured, I felt reassured and whilst it’s the beginning of a journey for me I’m confident in the care I received, when it’s a tough diagnosis Alison Birtle is a great doctor to have on your team.

I received a very informative and reassuring consultation with Alison Birtle about my prostate cancer and how I can be treated and cured. She is very clear and comprehensive in her explanations and makes you feel very comfortable in her presence and I will have total confidence in her treatment plan and it’s execution.

First time meeting Professor Alison Birtle. She was welcoming, friendly and very professional. She explained everything up to date and listened and answered any questions I had. She reassured me and has given me confidence in the treatment going forward. A very caring lady and I felt she was supportive at this early stage. I feel very privileged to have her as my Oncologist. Thank you.
