I attended a meeting with a view to entering a trial for the use of Adjuvant Atezolizumab for people with muscle invasive bladder cancer. Although I had some background information on the subject, there were still a few concerns that I wasn't sure about. Professor Birtle was very explanatory, put me at ease and provided detailed information on the concerns that I had. She did so in a polite, professional manner and yet was very respectful about our concerns. Professor Birtle was extremely knowledgeable on the subject and following the meeting I was left in no doubt about the next course of treatment.

Professor Alison Birtles was, very professional , informative,  compassionate and friendly, taking her time to  explained everything in far more detail than anyone else. I felt reassured and confident that she will do her utmost to help me. I got more out of this appointment and more help than other consultation and I now have a much clearer picture of what the future treatment will be.  Thankyou for caring.

Following treatment for testicular cancer I was referred to Dr Birtle at Rosemere Preston. From the initial consultation the options available to me were explained with clarity and empathy. 6 years on, I can only describe the care I have received to be excellent. Thank you.
