I've been a patient with Globetown Surgery for about thirty five years and remember when Dr Arnot took over the practice with Dr Appleby. In all that time, when I've been seen by Dr Arnot, I've always found her polite, professional and who has given good ad ice. I appreciate that some people will disagree with my comments, but when you consider all the training a GP has to undertake, plus the ongoing knowledge they build on through their career, you have to sit up and listen to their advice. I am certain they don't pass on referrals or comments to a patient for a joke or to be rude. It's practical advice for our health.

This doctor gave me the specialist referral I wanted and needed. However, she didn't listen to my concerns and was dismissive of the fact that I wanted a referral, suggesting that going for a private diagnosis was "paying" for a diagnosis and that I did not in fact have the condition. She was very reluctant to refer me even though I was classified as severe after being seen by a specialist outside the NHS. I found the interaction negative and paternalistic, and I would avoid consulting with her again.

The only doctor to have made me cry on multiple occasions, she’s rude, condescending and doesn’t care.

Although it was a long time ago, we remember this Doctor vividly- she is OK, not too bad, but wasnt necessarily the best. She did a REASONABLE job with us, but not brilliant, and we found her average at best. She had reasonable personal and client skills, but not above average. She did a little to assist us, but not a huge amount. Mixed feelings therefore
