Dr Ali Fawzi is a caring & supportive respiratory consultant. I came into his care at St Peter’s Hospital, Chertsey, Surrey, after a complaint I made & he really improved my care. I felt listened to, not dismissed. He went above & beyond to put my care on good footing, securing 2 therapies that had a much-needed positive impact on my health. A big thank you. I highly recommend Dr Fawzi.

I took my elderly Mum for a follow up meeting at the RESP Plural Drain Clinic. Dr Fawzi went to great lengths to explain the ultrasound as he did it, drawing diagrams of Mum's lungs & explaining her options in simple terms. His relaxed & friendly demeanour put us both at ease, in what were traumatic circumstances, especially for Mum. We both had complete confidence in him and appreciated his honesty in his summary. If Mum does decide to have further treatment, she only wants Dr Fawzi to do it!

My Sister and I took my mother to see Dr Fawzi on the 13th November and we were so impressed . He came out to the waiting room apologised that he was running late and then introduced himself to all of us and asking for our names.
We then had an excellent consultation , explaining everything and then reinforcing and checking that we all understood . He went beyond what was expected of him !
At the end of the consultation he said goodbye making the effort to remember all of our names!

Dr Fawzi trained at St George’s University Hospital, completing his registrar training in February 2018 within the Kent, Surrey and Sussex deanery.
He has been a substantive consultant since at Ashford and St Peter’s Hospital, where he has both led the respiratory department and specifically been the departmental lead for asthma, COPD, pleural disease and interventional respiratory medicine, including pleural, bronchoscopy, EBUS and medical thoracoscopy.
Dr Fawzi has expertise with all aspects of general respiratory medicine including cough, asthma, COPD, bronchiectasis, interstitial lung disease, sarcoidosis, undiagnosed breathlessness, pulmonary embolism, lung infections and lung cancer. He also has expertise in the associated diagnostic tests such as lung function, sleep studies, radiological imaging, bedside thoracic ultrasound, pleural procedures, bronchoscopy, endobronchial ultrasound and medical thoracoscopy.
