Excellent communication skills, which immediately put me at ease, and helped establish trust. He clearly listened and did not appear rushed. He answered questions in an honest fashion; involving me closely in the car plan. Dr White is involved in the "Doctors in Distress" treatment scheme, and in his approach towards me as a fellow professional, Dr White was skilled at dealing with the unique component this brought to my illness. He also provided me with access outside of our consultations in which to raise concerns and involve my family. This was a welcome change to the sort of stigma I felt when seeing other clinicians. The only thing that made me uncomfortable in retrospect was the divulging of certain confidential information to my GP, which may be unscrupulously read by other colleagues of mine. however, he provided the means for me to critique his letters to the GP, by dictating them at the end of each session. I just wasn't able to think clearly at the time.
