Written by a NHS patient at Centenary Surgery
11th September 2021

To cut a very long story short, I have a chronic pain condition. On trying to replenish my medication I was told I was no longer an NHS concern because I spend two months abroad with work. I was refused an appointment as she had no availability on Tuesdays, Thursdays or Friday afternoons. I since found out that she works in another clinic on those days. We only have one GP in our surgery. I raised the complaint with the local health board who advised me to try and resolve this with the Practise Manager. I tried this with no success. He denied everything that was said despite not being present during my conversations with the doctor. I since found out that he is the doctors wife. Unfortunately I was too weak to take this further and ended up moving to another GP.
