The doctor called me in at the correct time and did not waste any time with the test. He explained what the test was why it was being done. He discussed his finding to me.

I had to have a stomach U/S scan at Guy's hospital on the 23rd July which was referred by my GP 2-3 weeks ago. ( for a fatty liver diagnosis)
I was impressed with Dr Ahmed Elowaidy as from the outset he explained everything in a professional manner. After the scan he showed me on the scan the stones which appeared In the bile duct. He then fully explained the follow up procedures including reporting to my GP surgery (for which I received a telephone call late yesterday afternoon/evening). He also explained the procedure to remove the stones.

Dr Elowaidy is a substantive cross-sectional clinical radiology consultant at Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Hospitals sub-specialized in abdominal and neuro-imaging. He has been a consultant in the NHS since 2013.
He has a special interest in Gastroenterology, hepatobiliary, colorectal, gynecological and neuro-imaging. He is the radiology colead in the upper gastroenterology, hepatobiliary and colorectal MDMs. He takes pride in his work and he is always eager to go the extra mile to provide and plan the best care to his patients.
