The consultation I had with Dr Jawad on 23 January 2019 was really superb, and saw a remarkable transformation in me during the course of the video call. It is still only a few days after the call and I am awaiting the changes in medication he advised to happen and take effect; I am still suffering very badly from my symptoms . I started the video call extremely distressed telling him about my current struggles, near suicidal thoughts, inability to sleep or do anything, pacing up and down around the house in tremendous distress for hours, sitting hugging a radiator and feeling that a black curse was upon me and wanted to kill me. Dr Jawad was brilliant. He listened carefully to everything I said, took notes, read my history and last diagnosis. His manner was kindly and jolly and greatly inspired confidence. He asked me a series of very specific questions. Then he pointed towards the accredited book of NICE clinically recognised mental conditions (DSM) with hundreds of diagnoses, and arrived at his diagnosis and treatment plan. I felt really understood and greatly reassured by him, and he really seemed to know what he was talking about. I trusted his diagnosis and the changes in medication and other treatment that he has recommended. I ended the video call feeling extremely fortunate and grateful and with a glimmer of hope restored. I look forward to seeing the results of his treatment plan taking effect, as I am still in a very distressed state . I will be able to add further comments to this review as the treatment continues .
