Two long years I have been battling with UTI's and have seen countless doctors. I have been ignored, disregarded, mistreated, misdiagnosed even told by a doctor that they don't have time for my issues. They would treat me like I was vacuous some of them would not even look at me or ask me any questions just ask the nurses to do tests and prescribe a medication I am not even sure I needed. After all the antibiotics I have been given and all the failed appointments where no one would even try to help me out to see what is wrong with me, frustration of not being believed and being completely ignored made me I have a breakdown. So I decided that I will no longer go to any doctor or clinic. My last appointment that I was willing to go to was to fix my thrush caused by the antibiotics NOTHING MORE. when I walked in to Dr.Adeyemi Olujobi's office I was very nervous so I just wanted to get the cream and leave. However something i have not seen in two years time he actually smiled and looked at me and asked questions and looked genuinely interested. I instantly calmed down and felt the tears building up in my eyes. he ended up listening to me and helping me out more than anyone has in all this time. I ran out of the GP sobbing and smiling at the same time it was the first time in a long time that I did not have an anxiety attack after an appointment. It might seem silly but anyone who has ever had an issue and been disregarded by a healthcare professional knows how frustrating rejection is.
