For many years I struggled with bowel issues until eventually it was discovered that I had pre cancerous polyps which were very close to invading the bowel wall. I had surgery - subtotal colectomy. Some years on I developed gastroparesis. I was extremely fortunate to be referred to Dr Adam Farmer and he arranged various tests over a period of some months, and I was diagnosed with CIPO. Having got a diagnosis it meant there were newer medications and treatments available to me. My family and myself are so grateful to Dr Farmer, we were always listened to and supported throughout, it made such a difference to be heard I can’t thank him enough for his help.

I was incredibly lucky to have been a patient of Dr Farmer. After countless years of very difficult to manage symptoms including nausea, pain, bloating and severe constipation, I got a referral to Dr Adam Farmer. On my first appointment both my husband and myself felt heard and came away with hope that someone was going to try to help me. I had many investigations and was helped with new medications and therapies which gave me some relief and a feeling that I was being taken care of. I was diagnosed with CIPO and and my family and I are so grateful to Dr Farmer for his dedication to this rare disease which causes such misery.
