Dr Bray was reccomended to me by a consultant in Cardiff. I found Dr Bray extremely professional in all ways, his staff Julia was also very efficeient. I would have no hesitation in recommending him..

The process to remove a skin carcinoma is a daunting one - especially if it is in a prominent location. Dr Bry talked through the options at the consultation and also helped me through the process. He was very motivated to mitigate the visual impact of the surgery by changing angle and shape of the site to ensure it could closed as sympathetically as was feasible - while ensuing the site was clear of the Basel Cell Carcinoma (BCC) via MOHS surgery an iterative approach to limit the amount of tissue needed to be removed safely following microscopic analysis of the biopsy. Dr Bray kept me well informed and was a calming and reassuring voice throughout the process. He was also proactive and supportive at the follow up appointment. I have used Dr Bray before to remove other skin lesions and would recommend him.

When I first emailed Dr Bray’s surgery, a day after the diagnosis of a basal cell carcinoma just above my upper lip, Julia phoned me back in hardly any time at all to arrange an appointment. She had recognised my anxiety, and her kindness and complete understanding immediately made me feel better. I had the same experience shortly after with Dr Adam Bray. He described the procedure for Mohs surgery and likely outcome in an equally kind and reassuring way. The surgery was painless, the team were lovely, and the instructions for post-surgery care were clear. Within weeks the skin graft had settled down and now isn’t immediately noticeable. I’m certainly not self-conscious about it, it’s all pretty much forgotten about. The initial loss of sensation has improved over time. In short, I can wholeheartedly recommend Dr Adam Bray and the whole team. I am very happy with the outcome of the surgery, and the emotional journey was made so much better by amount of information given, the accuracy of the potential outcome, and the reassuring way this was all delivered.

Having rejected the idea of a skin graft for a bcc in an awkward position below my eye, I was relieved to see Dr Bray who explained the Mohs procedure in layman's terms and demonstrated how it would be done on his iPad. The procedure was carried out smoothly in a pleasant atmosphere. The wound healed rapidly with a minimum of scar tissue. Detailed reports were issued after each stage of the process, with simple home care instructions, together with contact details for any queries. Julia was a great help throughout. She knows a lot about what's involved and rightly said that it's much easier to manage than the somewhat daunting information supplied in the official literature. Dr Bray did a superb job. He's very approachable and thorough, and inspires confidence. I'm delighted with the results of my procedure and highly recommend him.

I was initially nervous about having the procedure, but Doctor Bray and his team were calming friendly informative and efficient during the operation. I had to have a basal cell cancer removed from the tip of my nose, so MOHs surgery was the best way to achieve the best outcome. I would certainly recommend Doctor Bray for treatment and to go and talk over your specific health issue.

I found that from my first appointment to the end of my procedure to be very relaxed and friendly, at the same time fully making me aware of what the procedure entailed. I felt fully at ease throughout this procedure and the outcome has been very successful leaving me confident about my appearance.

I was recommended to Dr. Bray by another dermatologist who suggested that my BCC would be better removed by the MOHS surgery. I arranged an appointment through his lovely secretary Julia, who was extremely efficient and very knowledgeable about the procedure. I was completely reassured on my first consultation with Dr.Bray and had the operation shortly after. The procedure was carried out in a calm and friendly atmosphere with Dr.Bray and the two nurses chatting to me and each other in what could have been a very stressful situation for me, but I was calmed by their presence. Dr.Bray was always available for any questions after my procedure and did in fact see me to remove a couple of stubborn stitches prior to the Christmas break. I cannot recommend both Dr.Bray and Julia highly enough and would not hesitate to contact them if ever I was concerned about my skin in the future.

I had Mohs surgery in Summer 2023 undertaken by Dr Bray. He is an exceptionally calm man. Throughout the whole process from initial appointment, surgery and follow ups , he was understanding and reassuring and clearly very knowledgeable. Both he and Julia were very responsive to my emails and concerns. I have no hesitation in recommending Dr Bray. Thanks.

I had three BCC's removed from my nose, two of which were large and Dr. Bray did an excellent job. During surgery he noticed that another one was starting to grow and removed that as well. The Mohs surgery took all day but he and his staff were very careful, attentive and cheerful the whole time which made it a much more bearable experience. Everything healed well, although in the first week I needed to email a few questions to Dr. Bray which he answered the same day and put my mind at rest. Thank you Dr. Bray for your skill, kindness and attentiveness.

In October 2021 a small sore developed on my upper lip (Vermilion border near Philtrum). It looked like a cold sore, however it never healed and was eventually diagnosed as a BCA (Basal Cell Carcinoma) growth after the biopsy was taken. The subsequent scar/cancer did not appear to grow or change on the surface over the following few months. Since your lips are a very sensitive area, especially for drinking, eating, kissing and general looks, I was somewhat concerned about the way forward. The NHS Consultant’s recommendation was for MOHs surgery. Upon arrival at the area NHS hospital in August 22, I was expecting a discussion on the surgical procedure and more importantly, the possible reconstruction of the lip/face and even plastic surgery as a possible option. On the day the NHS hospital in question had lost my records, the surgeon knew nothing of my history and did not fill me with confidence on his approach to the surgery and reconstruction. I discharged myself without treatment as was deeply concerned about this apathetic approach. Following this, I was informed that to go through the NHS MOHs surgery system again, the waiting list time will be nine months. I was then recommended to approach Dr Adam Bray as a private patient. From the initial consultation with Dr Bray in November 22, where he used an iPad to show the possible outcomes all the way through to the surgery, I was confident of his approach and knowledge regarding delicate surgery. The hospital booking, paperwork, all follow up and aspects of the procedure was managed via Julia, an excellent point of contact as part of his team. The surgery in early December 2022 was extremely professional taking over nine hours, the outcome being an open wound 25x13mm as the cancer was clearly spreading. The wound stitching and recovery follow up has been excellent in all aspects, from personal calls, replies to emails, especially after sending pictures of the wound for comments and tips on healing. I cannot thank Adam Bray enough for his fantastic work, truly professional, especially as it looks to date that I will have no noticeable scaring, which is incredible especially if you see the pictures of the wound after surgery and its position on the upper lip. I would certainly recommend Dr Adam Bray for MOHs surgery, especially if a sensitive part of the face is to be treated and for all other aspects of dermatology in future he would be my first point of call.
