I have been under treatment by Dr. Mawas now for over five years during which time the good doctor has diagnosed me most professionally with NARFLD which is commonly known as "Fatty Liver" disease and associated cirrhosis. At first I was shocked and frightened by the findings and only later discovered that I also have type 2 diabetes. The good news is that due to the professional and diligent approach taken by Dr. Mawas and his patience in explaining how to address the prognosis and treatment. I am today in much a much better condition than I was five years ago when I first found out about it. Dr. Mawas has been absolutely brilliant in guiding me along a recovery path that included a gradual change of lifestyle, attention to diet and exercise, plus how to get my liver to improve in stages and to get my diabetes to go into remission. It has been a long journey, but due to his excellent manner, his kindness and attention to me as a patient. I believe that I have experienced the very best of care and I now really appreciate not only the benefits of good health but also a future that has some promise. I am truly indebted to Dr. Mawas as he has always been there for me with really pragmatic advice, he has telephoned me with results and keeps both myself and my GP fully appraised of the ongoing situation. He has performed the endoscopy operations himself, along with his magnificent team. He constantly monitors my blood tests and scan results and is thoroughly on top of his profession and care for me. I am sure that I would not and could not have received better attention and treatment even from a private Harley Street specialist if I had gone down the private route, not to mention the massive expenses that would involve. All I can say is that if you need similar treatment then Dr. Mawas is the main man. He is over here in the UK looking after us and is a long way from his homeland, which is great for us, but a big loss elsewhere. Thank God for Dr. Mawas, he is the most kindest and considerate Doctor that I have ever met and I consider myself lucky be here with my family becasue of what he has done for me. I am eternally grateful to him and our NHS

Well, anonymous “patient”, I attended West Suffolk Hospital yesterday for a Colonoscopy performed by Dr. Mawas and his Endoscopy support team. Every member of the team led by Dr. Mawas, and especially the doctor himself, took part in that invasive investigation and surgical procedure with the epitome of care and consideration towards me, keeping me informed and checking my ongoing comfort throughout. Dr. Mawas listened carefully to my own views about the need for sedation/pain control, explained the options, and the decision we reached together was primarily led by me, which totally contradicts your opinion that he doesn't listen. The entire staff of the Endoscopy department - doctor, nurses, receptionists, porters, all of them - were absolutely beyond reproach, so perhaps the supercilious attitude reflected in your anonymous attack might have been the problem. And yes, as a qualified doctor, Dr. Mawas certainly does "know better" than you about medical issues. - Trevor Dennington

I saw this doctor when my usual Doctor was on holiday. I was suffering with severe complications from previous surgery and had undergone tests linked with this. This doctor told me there were no issues shown on the tests and that 'I would get better on my own'. He also prescribed me drugs that could've caused me major complications.I know alot about my condition but this man didn't listen to me at all. Not long after a visit to this doctor I was admitted into hospital with severe problems, which were exactly what I was explaining to him. I do not recommend this doctor, in my opinion he likes to think he knows best and does not take into account patients personal knowledge of their illness. I will never be seen by this man again.
