I was referred to University Hospital, Coventry from George Eliot Hospital for an angiogram. From the moment I arrived I was immediately looked after from the clerical side until the procedure was over. Everything was explained to me in words that I could understand and a lot of care was given to me as I was feeling quite anxious about this procedure. Dr Maher and all his team made me feel so relaxed and comfortable. The care given to me was brilliant. Thank you Dr Maher and all your team.

This Doctor explained the way my pacemaker would be fitted in detail. He listened to my concerns about the procedure and the device itself and answered them all fully. He explained the risks as well as the advantages. The one thing that stood out for me is that he did not rush to get rid of me in order to move onto the next patient and I could understand him perfectly as his English was exemplary. He put me at my ease totally as it is very stressful in any hospital situation, even as an outpatient waiting to see the consultant. I hope that he will carry out the fitting of my pacemaker as he stated which would then make matters for me complete in my opinion of him.
