Dr Abdul Gatrad

We dealt with Professor Gatrad when my son had been experiencing ongoing vomitting. The Professor was so friendly and kind which instantly put my son at ease. It felt as though Professor Gatrad knew us personally almost immediately and seemed genuinely interested in not only my son's health but his overall life, interests and hobbies. The Professor saw us the same day that I contacted him and spent a long time with us on our initial appointment and was extremely thorough by going through the timeline each day at a time! He certainly helped reassure us as we had been so worried with the symptoms being ongoing. Within days we had numerous tests undertaken and follow up appointment scheduled. With the Professor's professors help, my son is no longer experiencing intermittent vomitting and is hopefully now on the road to a full recovery. I hadn't heard of Professor Gatrad before seeing him but I would urge others to read up on him and all of the wonderful work he does. Sometimes in life, you come across a person who is clearly an amazing human being and Professor Gatrad is certainly one of those! My son and I would highly recommend. THANK YOU!

We have now seen Prof Gatrad on two separate occasions for both our children and the care he provides is nothing other than fantastic. He leaves no stone unturned and has a genuine desire to help give his patients answers and support wherever he can. He goes above and beyond as he really does care about his patients. Prof Gatrad involved both of our children in the consultations making them feel valued and at ease with him. I pray we never need medical intervention again but if we do we would not hesitate to contact Prof Gatrad again.

I have had the absolute pleasure of having met such a wonderful person. prof. Gatrad has helped with both of my children. Two completely different concerns, 2 years apart. His care and attention ruin is second to none! He goes well over and above the call if duty and it’s clear he is only concerned about the welfare of his patients. He will spend time explaining and providing reassurance when needed, even when it involves sacrificing his own time! The profession is extremely lucky to have him in it! My baby has recently been treated by Professor Gatrad. I have seen that another patient has called him one in a million. I would definitely agree he is. From the moment I met him I had complete confidence in the way that he dealt with us, he was excellent at listening and questioning to make sure he had all of the facts in order to treat our baby. Professor Gatrad is a lovely, kind man and a real shining star to his profession.

Dr Gatrad is highly recommended. He attentively listened to all our concerns regarding our daughter and helped her on the path to recovery. Without him, we would still be struggling as no other doctor got to the route of the problem. Not only does he listen and help but his advice is clear and ensures that we understood the reasons for each step he was taking which we really appreciated.

Prof Gatrad is thorough, kind, considerate, extremely knowledgeable and compassionate. I have seen him with two of my children and wouldn't trust advise from anyone else when it comes to the children. He is one in a million and an absolute legend. Charlotte (mum).

Our daughter was poorly with a UTI - she was treated over a matter of 3 weeks but we felt the need to get referred for further tests. We received recommendations for Professor Gatrad. He was excellent in getting back to us very quickly, I felt that he understood our concerns and helped us rush through to get scans done so we had answers. He was very thoughtful - checking on our daughter after he had finished clinics late. Nothing felt too much trouble. We felt in safe hands. His knowledge and experience in paediatric care was excellent. I would not hesitate in recommending him. He had a more rounded approach to care ensuring we were covering all angles with her treatment going forward. I cannot thank him enough.

Dr Gatrad's professional and attentive manner with his patients is second to none. I have never met a Doctor with such a detailed understanding of his patients' health problems and personal circumstances. I think this is because he really takes the time to listen to his patients and use this information to tailor treatment strategies accordingly. In addition, his vast experience and knowledge mean that the care we are getting is the very best available. He has been treating our 4 year old son for several months, we have seen some improvement in his condition as a result and we are confident further progress can be made in Doctor Gatrad's care. Many thanks to him and his colleagues for all their help and support.

Dr. Gatrad is an outstanding doctor whom we have been fortunate enough to have support our daughter. The diagnostic process was efficient and subsequent treatment has been excellent. He has an fantastic rapport with our daughter, and she is always happy and content during the appointments. As parents we have found him to be very clear and easy to understand in his explanations. Overall he has been a wonderful support over the past six months and is a superb Doctor.

We couldn’t have wished for a better consultant for our daughter. Professor Gatrad has been outstanding in treating our daughter for just over a year now and she is now so much better than when we first met him. His knowledge, advice, approach and understanding is second to none. Unfortunately due to Covid we only met him in person once, however the telephone consultations since have still been excellent and not made any difference to the treatment plan we’ve been following. We’re so happy we chose Professor Gatrad, and we’re sure everyone else he looks after feels the same.
