Professor Gatrad is a very knowledgable paediatrician - we cannot praise him enough. As soon as we entered the consulting room, he took the time to get our son used to him. Professor Gatrad has a very calming and soft voice which puts children at ease straight away. The consultation was not rushed, and all of our questions were answered fully. Professor Gatrad made sure nothing else was worrying us before we left. He is a true professional and a gentleman.

I think Professor Gatrad is the one person I would
recommend. He is trustworthy, knowledgeable, kind and makes you feel like you are his number one priority. He will do everthing possible to get you fit and well. He is a genuinely lovely person and a very talented paediatrician.
I feel lucky to have met and been treated by Professor Gatrad and I also feel that we have become great friends. I think anybody who is treated by him can be assured of the best care!

My daughter has been a patient of Prof. Gatrad for some time with a heart murmur and resently a severe case of molluscum.
Prof. Gatrad listens to all our concerns however small we may think them and also listens to how my daughter feels and her opinions (she is only 7). He does not rush us and he is very attentive in his examinations.
Our experience has been of exceptional care and we could not reccomment Prof. Gatrad high enough.

Dr Gatrad really listened to my 11 year old son, thoroughly assessed him and explained his thoughts/concerns and what he was going to do next. I wished every doctor was as polite, knowledgeable, genuine and caring as Dr Gatrad. Thank you.

I work in the NHS and have worked with several consultants in the past 8 years. Dr Gatrad is one of the best because he listens and comes down to your level and still remains professional in his conduct.He is genuine and great with children.

Professor A R Gatrad OBE has been a child specialist at the Manor hospital for over 25 years. He is nationally and internationally known through many of his publications and the 2 books that he has written. He holds a national award for clinical excellence.
