I am a consultant physician with broad experience in all aspects of respiratory medicine. My areas of special interest are chronic cough, asthma, bronchiectasis and interstitial lung disease. I have a thorough and compassionate approach, with a strong belief in the importance of good communication. I am passionate about the avenues I pursue and have an innate need to see things to fruition. I take a lot of pride in my work and deliver compassionate and evidence based care to all my patients.

I have a special interest in interstitial lung diseases such as pulmonary fibrosis and sarcoidosis. Over the last few years I have managed hundreds of patients with these conditions. I have set up a multi-speciality clinic for patients suffering with connective tissue disease such as rheumatoid arthritis and breathing difficulties. This clinic has been running successfully and has benefited patients across the region. I am passionate about participating in clinical trials to the benefit of my patients. I have led a few research trials as principal investigator at my trust which has immensely benefited our local population as they have had access to some new medications and participation on clinical trials.

I am the lead for research and audit and I also chair the resuscitation committee at Wrightington Wigan and Leigh NHS Foundation Trust.

I am the lead clinician for respiratory medicine and the clinical director of scheduled care at Wrightington Wigan and Leigh NHS Foundation Trust.

At Wrightington Wigan and Leigh NHS Foundation Trust, I am a part of the Medicine Management Strategic Board, Quality and Safety committee and Improving MEWS committee.
