Told me I had a viral infection and, even though he could see the swollen lymph gland I had, told me can't do anything for me . I ended up in hospital the very next day where a specialist told me I had a serious bacterial infection and needed antibiotics. There and then I was hooked up to a drip and looked after very nicely. Even the specialist said to me "what exactly did your GP think your swollen lymph gland was" and shook his head in disbelief that antibiotics was not given to me by my own GP!

The practice is nice and the receptionists are really helpful. But Doctor Malik is blunt and reductive. I reported symptoms of PTSD a few years ago (nightmares, flashbacks, depression, anxiety, paranoia) after experiencing severe sexual violence. Doctor Malik told me there was no medication and instead the only solution was to get over it. I didn't ask for medication, I asked for help. He could have refered me to get therapy on the NHS, or discussed antidepressants, but he didn't take the time to explore those even as an option. I was young and vulnerable and he shut me down like I was being overdramatic. Only after talking to other doctors have I realised all the ways he didn't help.

Dr. Malik has always been caring, a good listener and always made myself and my children feel at ease. He has supported me through some stressful periods of my life and has never made me feel uncared for. Very sincere caregiver indeed.

The reception staff never passes on information and you are never able to see and speak to him.

Please look to my other review of the entire surgery. Dr Malik has not been a doctor at all. I have been ignored, dismissed and altogether put down by him every time I have had an appointment, whether in person or via telephone, and even when I have tried to speak to him. He now refuses to see me or treat me for anything. He is not a doctor, no matter if he has a few qualifications, he has refused to treat his patient just because he got fed up with me constantly having appointments for one thing after another. It is absolutely disgusting.
