I was treated by Dr. Karavidas for Lower impacted wisdom teeth removal at welwyn garden city and operated on at Luton hospital. i was referred to hospital a few years previous regarding my wisdom teeth, and told by a doctor at lister hospital that it was not possible to remove the teeth due their position - however years later thankfully i was referred to someone a lot more confident. Dr. Karavidas confirmed it was a complicated case and therefore wanted to operate himself, along with a senior oral surgeon and was reassured plenty of times that i was in good care. I give my upmost thanks to Dr. Karavidas and all the NHS staff that cared for me, i was put under general anaesthetic whilst being made to laugh, and woke up in recovery laughing. Teeth are now in great recovery.

Dr. Karavidas is more than a dentist.Having been treated by him for 4 years I have found him and his team to be 1st class in all departments, from the basics of the punctuality of appointments to the highly efficient and professional running of the department. From the first diagnosis-operation and after care everything was explained, the treatment could not have been any better. In my experience I do believe he and his associates are skillful and dedicated people

I saw Mr Karavidas today at the oral surgery outpatients clinic re wisdom teeth removal. I was really very nervous about the appointment as the last dentist I saw advised that all 4 wisdom teeth be removed under general anaesthetic when I had only been referred to that particular dentist re the possible removal of one tooth! I had also been told lots of "horror" stories by colleagues/friends re black eyes, bruising etc.after full wisdom teeth removal etc, so I was really feeling reluctant to go. I needn't have worried. Mr Karavidas was friendly, informative and listened to my many questions. He told me the facts without causing me an unnecessary worry and most importantly gave me time to think about the information provided and make my own choices re anaethesia options. The upshot is that I still require some wisdom tooth removal, however all 4 are not needed to be taken out and I have time to decide how I want to proceed. The recovery shouldn't be terrible and all in all he was reassuring. Having been to several outpatient appointments in different hospital departments over the years, this was a very pleasant, helpful and on time experience and I am really happy with the level of care I received. Thank you.
