I have had lens replacement surgery to treat a cataract in my right eye.
Having had laser surgery performed by Mr Stevens many years ago, to correct myopia, I had no hesitation in seeking his advice following diagnosis of a cataract.
Mr Stevens treated me with care and expertise, taking time to listen to my expectations and concerns regarding the procedure, which was performed three weeks ago.
I had no discomfort whatever and I am delighted with the result. I am back on the tennis court with great distance vision but I can also read small print very well.
All managed smoothly and efficiently by wonderful PA Janet.
My previous experience with having my cataracts operated on by the NHS had not been a success and I was therefore nervous about the operation to the other eye
I went to Mr Stevens because he had been recommended by a friend
He took the trouble to explain everything in detail and gave me confidence to have the remaining eye operated on.
The procedure has been a great success and I would recommend mr Stevens to anyone in my situation
First class treatment from initial examination through surgery and into aftercare from Mr Steven’s and his great team.

Julian Stevens – An experienced and truly gifted surgeon.
I spent over a year deciding if I could overcome worry about putting my trust in an eye surgeon. Both my eyes needed cataracts removed, and I was really frustrated at needing to wear three different types of glasses for reading books, using the computer, and driving.
Julian Stevens was highly recommended by my cousin, and I am so very grateful that I took his advice.
I found the whole team extremely professional and caring. My thanks in particular go to Magdelana and Janet who provided lots of guidance and support before and after the surgery.
Any concerns I had, melted away when I met Julian for my consultation. I found that he did much more than read out the results of the various tests his team had conducted. He checked my eyes himself and was perceptive and intuitive about my general health. His is a truly comprehensive approach.
I had laser refractive surgery and lens implants as part of cataract and refractive surgery. Julian also corrected an astigmatism.
Both eyes were treated at the same time, and I don’t need to wear glasses anymore.
What more can I say?
Well, a lot actually… The entire process took place in a very short space of time. I walked out of the clinic and joined my family for a lovely lunch. My vision was clear, no dressings, and I was pain free. I was driving two days later. I had no after affects.
I had a follow up appointment about 5 weeks later. All the visual tests were positive, and again, holistic practitioner Julian, spoke to me about my general health, and the importance of vitamins and supplements. His job was done, but he wanted to ensure I would continue to look after myself, and my enhanced vision.
