Overall. A positive experience. However their was a lot of too-ing and fro-ing with forms, online notes etc. Having ADHD made keeping up with these difficult and at times very stressful. The staff were helpful and supportive but at times I needed to reach out for this support and to state that the things I was being asked to do were exactly the things that my ADHD makes very difficult for me. I am not sure. a less confident person or a person with more severe ADHD would have been able to do this. The total number of forms, feedback and notes I had to provide were excessive. I think the option of having someone ask these questions in a non written i.e verbal format would be very helpful for people like me with ADHD and dyslexia.

We pride ourselves on being a neurodiverse-friendly organisation, but we appreciate that the pre-assessment and titration monitoring forms can feel a little overwhelming for some of our patients. My experience with Psychiatry-UK has been exceptionally positive. From the initial contact to ongoing support, their team has been professional, efficient, and genuinely caring. The online appointment system is convenient, making it easier to manage sessions around my schedule. The staff I interacted with were always helpful and understanding, ensuring a smooth process throughout. The quality of care provided is of a high standard, reflecting their commitment to patient well-being. I highly appreciate the flexibility and accessibility of their services, which have been instrumental in my mental health journey. I want to say thank you to Tracie Simpson. Despite only having contact through message she made me feel calm and supported throughout the titration. I started titration at the worst time, during the shortage. She suggested trying a different medication to what I was supposed to be on and it worked! I am so happy that this decision was made because it saved me waiting and suffering for longer than necessary.
She understood my concerns throughout my titration and explained everything and replies very quickly even out of hours. She is so professional and kind.
I am really pleased with the service and my life has changed for the better.
Sorry I didn’t get a proper chance to say thank you through the portal before I got discharged so I hope my message can be delivered!
I want to say thank you so much Tracie. You have had a massive part in changing my life. Thank you for your professionalism and patience. I wish all the best to you!

It’s been life changing I really appreciate psychiatry UK !
I can’t recommend Elisa enough, she’s found the right medication that works for me and has been very patient and flexible which is great for when you’re a working mum and put of tasks due to being overwhelmed but I didn’t feel that which Elisa. Thank you again you’ve given me a better quality of life and my daughter her mum back.

Very good service just for medication. Lisa was amazing & very helpful. Only criticism is all communication is done through online forms which I think most people with adhd find is one of there biggest struggles in life. So tricky but worth it.

The asynchronous nature of the majority of my treatment was very useful. I was able to manage my care well while still not facing much disruption to my other day-to-day tasks.

I received prompt assistance from Psychiatry UK, starting from assessment to treatment, and was assigned an efficient mental health nurse for titration.
However, the organisational emphasis on patient conformity over patient-centered care created a sense of pressure and fear, especially for myself with ADHD struggling with experiencing organisation and memory issues.
The service seems standardised rather than tailored to individual needs, possibly due to operational pressures, despite the commendable efforts of my mental health nurse.
There is a feeling of the service pushing for quick discharge. For anyone reading, please do take your time during the process and advocate for yourself and your needs to ensure best possible outcomes for yourself.

My experience as a RTC patient for Adult ADHD assesment was fantastic. My psychiatrist Dr Lucy Watkin did a thorough assessment - I felt she listened to my challenges and explored my history to work towards a formal diagnosis - she also gave me and indication I should also consider assesment for ASC which I agree with and I am following up with PUK/RTC.
I then went through the process of titration with my prescriber Ryan Kirkbride to work up to a dose of medication that provided an improvement to my condition and has really started to help me on a day to day basis with minimal side effects.
Throughout my experience with PUKl, the assesment, the diagnosis, the titration and the support to get to where I need to be I felt listend to , cared for and that my thoughts, feelings and experience were responded to with the utmost care to get to the right answer for me. Everyone is different in their needs and PUK demonstrated that they understood this and cared about the result for the patient and the experience to meet those differing needs. I can't recommend them enough - they've given me a new way to approach my condition and a way to make positive change and manage the day to day. I wish I had gone through the process sooner. I've recommended them to family and friends due to the great level of care and attention where those family and friends may need help that PUK can provide.
